I love gardens! I love transforming them into fabulous unique places whatever the size, style, or budget with my professional and friendly garden design service.

A Chartered Surveyor for twenty years, I always had a passion for gardens.  I took the plunge in 2015 training as a garden designer with the Royal Botanic Garden in Edinburgh where I gained a Diploma in Garden Design with Distinction.

One of my highlights of the course was receiving a Silver Gilt medal at Gardening Scotland for my show garden design!

I started Artisan Garden Design in Edinburgh in 2016, to bring gardens to life and to help clients like you make the best possible use of their outdoor space.

Working throughout Edinburgh and the Lothians I have had the pleasure to consult on a variety of garden design projects.  I specialise in new build gardens where clients often have the same small patio, uneven lawn, and timber fence, and are unsure how to start turning it into a garden!

I listen carefully to your vision, what you wish to achieve, and how you will use your garden, and from this come up with a bespoke design that meets your needs. Every garden has the potential to be wonderful and it is uplifting to help every client see their garden in a whole new light, as well as helping solve tricky garden problems such as lack of privacy.

My surveying background means you have peace of mind that I have the technical expertise needed for the accurate measuring and drawing of gardens, which is a vital part of any successful construction phase.

I also have established relationships with reputable landscape companies so I can help you be sure that your garden will be built to the highest standard possible.
